Last month, I published my third book in the Whispering Woods series. Watcher of Worlds wasn't the easiest book of the three to write. Last year I was harder on myself, faced more challenges, and stumbled a couple of times. By stumbling, I mean that I needed a support group for my writing. There were times when I became very discouraged.
Writers are able to give two types of shoutouts in their works: the Dedication and Acknowledgements. I listed critique partners and beta readers in my Acknowledgements section of Watcher of Worlds. Honestly the list could have been longer, but I needed to keep it under control. We all need supporters. I'm feeling very lucky to have mine.
Kristan Higgins is a fantastic romance author that I discovered in 2013. I read every book she's written. I love this video below where she talks with Jill Shalvis about how they support each other as friends and authors.
Welcome to this edition of the Insecure Writers Support Group. There are over 300 writers who post the first Wednesday of every month to encourage each other.
