Do you have Hershey's Cocoa in your pantry? I do. I recently read that company founder Milton S. Hershey paid a $300 deposit for a first class passage aboard the Titanic for her maiden voyage. He never boarded because he was called back to his business three days early. He traveled instead on a ship called The America. I'd call him extremely fortunate. I'm glad he survived because I like his cocoa. It's a necessary ingredient for one of my favorite things.

One of my favorite foods from childhood was chocolate gravy. Have you ever had it?
My dad cooked breakfast every weekend, and I always looked forward to the chocolate gravy. My grandmother made it as well, but hers had a thinner consistency. My dad's version would hang onto the side of a biscuit. Hershey's Cocoa is one of the ingredients from my dad's chocolate gravy. I'm not posting his recipe here, because he throws ingredients into a skillet without measuring. People, people...you cannot hand down recipes with measurements of "a little of this and a spoon of that."
Here is Paula Deen's recipe from The Food Network. Thanks, Paula Deen.
