I would like to follow her lead and list seven favorites. Here' s my list of books that have those beautiful, articulate phrases that linger past the end of reading the book. These are some of the most quoteworthy books I've read.

Seven Books with Quotes I Love

“He does something to me, that boy. Every time. It’s his only detriment. He steps on my heart. He makes me cry.”
― Markus ZusakThe Book Thief

“He was the crazy one who had painted himself black and defeated the world.

She was the book thief without the words.

Trust me, though, the words were on their way, and when they arrived, Liesel would hold them in her hands like the clouds, and she would wring them out like rain.”
― Markus ZusakThe Book Thief

“I say, 'I will not be your weakness, Sean Kendrick.'
Now he looks at me. He says, very softly, 'It's late for that, Puck.”
― Maggie StiefvaterThe Scorpio Races

“I hear laughter and someone asks if I need help, not in a nice way. I snarl, "What I need is for your mother to have thought a little harder nine months before your birthday.”
― Maggie StiefvaterThe Scorpio Races

“There are moments that you'll remember for the rest of your life and there are moments that you think you'll remember for the rest of your life, and its not often they turn out to be the same moment.”

“A lady's imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment.”
― Jane AustenPride and Prejudice

“There are few people whom I really love, and still fewer of whom I think well. The more I see of the world, the more am I dissatisfied with it; and every day confirms my belief of the inconsistency of all human characters, and of the little dependence that can be placed on the appearance of merit or sense.”

“One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

― David LevithanWill Grayson, Will Grayson

“Maybe tonight you're scared of falling, and maybe there's somebody here or somewhere else you're thinking about, worrying over, fretting over, trying to figure out if you want to fall, or how and when you're gonna land, and I gotta tell you, Friends, to stop thinking about the landing, because it's all about falling.”

Actually, I'd like to thank L. A. Freeland for nominating me for a Kreative Blogger Award.  Thanks, Lori! I told her I was so excited to put in on my virtual mantel. Please go and check out her site HERE!
Kreative Blogger Award:
The rules:
1. Share 10 things about yourself that readers might find interesting.
2. Pass the award onto 6 other bloggers (be sure to leave a comment on each of the blogs to let them know). I'll pass this one along to some prolific AND "Kreativ" bloggers: Michael Offutt, Alex Cavanaugh, Ciara Knight, Shelley Munro, Kendall Gray, and The East Coaster.

Here is where I am going to CHEAT. I was so lucky to be awarded the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award from Jessica Aspen last week. Following the rules for that award, I shared 7 things about myself. Today, I'll just add 3 more items to equal 10 things. Is that twisted logic or what?

1.I learned I suffer from motion sickness while on a memorable vacation. Many years ago, I went deep sea fishing for the first time while vacationing in Texas. We went to Port Aransas and chartered our own boat and captain. I ate a big breakfast at a restaurant near the harbor.  How awesome is that? After getting past the visible shoreline, I proceeded to throw up for hours. There's more to this story, but I will say that Capt. Ron hopes to never see me again. Since that trip, I now wear a motion sickness patch whenever going deep sea fishing or flying on small planes.

2. I took taekwondo classes years ago, and I loved it. My favorite activity was sparring. Yes, I do own nunchucks, a short staff and long staff. The camaraderie, physical activity, and weapons training were all fun.

3. My favorite band is Kings of Leon. I'm a real fan girl. I own ever album and I've seen them in concert twice. Here's one of their older songs that doesn't get radio airplay. You may have heard all their bad press, but I'm here to tell you that they ROCK in concert.
